Curriculum Overview – Arts of Learning Academy

At Arts of Learning Academy, our curriculum is designed to provide a strong academic foundation while allowing room for creativity, exploration, and growth. We focus on core subjects daily while integrating hands-on, meaningful learning experiences across all areas.

English Language Arts

Students develop reading, writing, and comprehension skills through literature, journaling, and structured practice. Emphasis is placed on building confidence in both written and verbal expression.

Mathematics

Math instruction focuses on foundational skills, problem-solving, and consistency. Daily practice helps students build confidence and accuracy while strengthening their understanding of key concepts.

Science

Science is explored through hands-on experiments and engaging units that encourage curiosity and discovery. Students learn to ask questions, observe, and think critically about the world around them.

History & Social Studies

History is taught through thematic units, allowing students to explore civilizations, cultures, and historical events in a meaningful and connected way.

Enrichment

Creative expression is an important part of learning. Students engage in art, projects, and other enrichment activities that support creativity, critical thinking, and personal interests.

Our Performing Arts curriculum is delivered through specialized violin instruction, focusing on music theory, technical proficiency, and rhythmic development as a core enrichment component.

Our curriculum is flexible and designed to grow with the student, balancing structure with the freedom to explore and learn at a meaningful pace.
