About Us – Arts of Learning Academy

The Arts of Learning Academy was founded in May 2022, born from a moment that reshaped our family’s educational path. During her freshman year, my oldest daughter faced a medical challenge that caused her to miss a significant portion of the school year—92 days in total. For a student who had always thrived academically, the experience was discouraging and overwhelming. When she came home one day in tears and said, “Mom, I don’t want to do school like this anymore,”we knew something needed to change.

That moment became the foundation of our homeschool journey.

At Arts of Learning Academy, we believe education should nurture the whole child. Our approach blends academic rigor with creativity, flexibility, and compassion—meeting each student where they are while also encouraging them to grow into who they are meant to become. We honor both what is required and what each student aspires to achieve.

We are a K-12 school operating under a Private School Affadavit in the California High Desert and our goal is to cultivate confident, emotionally intelligent learners who are equipped not only with knowledge, but with the skills, resilience, and curiosity needed to navigate and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.

Proven Pathways

The success of our model is best seen in our results. We are proud to share that a recent alumna of The Arts of Learning Academy successfully transitioned from our high school program into the California Community College system. She is currently pursuing an Associate of Science for Transfer (AS-T) in Animal Sciences, proving that our balanced, 6/2 instructional model provides the rigorous foundation necessary for success in higher education.
